In a scene from the upcoming Netflix series "Nobody Wants This," Adam Brody's character Noah shows up at his girlfriend Joanne's house (played by Kristen Bell) with an enormous bouquet of sunflowers in tow. He is dressed in a sports coat. Joanne decides they should split up since she is so disgusted by his efforts.

Joanne is about to terminate things when Noah approaches her and declares he will not apologize for trying to leave a positive impression on her parents.

Joanne is stunned when Noah tells her, "You may self-sabotage all you want, but, honestly, I think you should get over it."

The creator and showrunner of the program, Erin Foster, notes that she became aware that "finding the right person can be challenging" when she first met Simon Tikhman in 2018.

Foster asserted, "Everything is their fault when you are with the wrong person." "You choose someone who deceives you, lies, and treats you poorly, and it seems like you are flawless. You begin to see all the awful things you do in a relationship when someone shows up who is responsible and healthy.

In “Nobody Wants This,” Joanne is a single woman who hosts a podcast with her sister (Justine Lupe). Their schtick is to talk candidly about their dating and breakup stories. Even a bad date is good fodder for the sisters to discuss.
